GCA Services has been the sole provider for our custodial services for the Rockford Public Schools since March of 2005. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of their work. Outsourcing these services has not only improved the overall cleanliness of our schools and facilities, but it is saving us 3.5 million a year.

another company. Contract was rebid and
contract was awarded to GCA. They came in
and really turned things around. All
experiences have been positive. Schools are
consistently clean and GCA is good to work

school. They have not had any problems. We have
broken even with the salaries and have saved money
on materials and workman’s compensation. The school
is very clean. GCA takes care of the security
system. The Area Supervisor provided by GCA is
excellent.

they had to train another one. Once he was trained

I have had a very positive experience with
GCA. The schools are much cleaner than before. They
are very responsive when you need them. We have just
renewed our contract with GCA. We have had GCA for
three years and just signed on for three more years.
They provide the day porter and all the other
cleaning services. The only problems we have had
have been something not being cleaned properly and
when it was brought to GCA’s attention it was
cleaned and the problem did not reoccur. This has
saved us money because we do not have to pay
workman’s comp or unemployment. When we entered into
a new contract for an additional three years it was
cheaper than the old contract. When we first signed
with GCA all of our existing employees were offered
positions and the schools became much cleaner than
before.

The district had felt the impact of rising costs and decreasing income over the last several years and outsourcing with SBM, now GCA Services Group, has resulted in savings close to $3 million dollars or 3% of the district’s operating budget. This significant savings occurred while the district was able to maintain and in many ways improve the level of cleanliness in our buildings.
GCA maintenance and custodial staff have established a favorable impression in our school district. The buildings are clean, work orders are being accomplished and their staff is very supportive and courteous.
School events that are set up by the GCA maintenance have been a consistent success at all four district high schools. The day to day activities have been handled professionally and efficiently at the school level.
We have established a positive partnership with the GCA management. We have found them to be highly responsive to our needs and our district standards. We feel confident that we can contact the senior level management and have any of our concerns addressed immediately.
